I'm just curious why there isn't much interest on this forum for the latest generation of Combat Mission games.

The graphics are much improved and other game mechanics have been revamped. I like the game's relative spotting. I also like how each unit can multi target.

This would seem to be the perfect game for those looking for historical, ballistic and game environment accuracy.

Interest Check for a ~25 Turn Battle using CMBB or CMAK (Most likely CMBB) based on user preference.
The idea for this end-of-year tournament is to challenge similar minded players from WW2 Talk to battle, with whichever Forum accumulates the most posts from the battles 'winning' the Inter-Forum War.

Method of play would be PBEM though its possible to play by TCP/IP if you're both on at the same...

Combat Mission: Afrika Korps

I've got them all and with the help of a NO CD PATCH played a game of CMAK against my room mate. Suprisingly he won, but i suppose having double the infantry i had might have helped.

So, i was wondering who else had any of these games? I'm always up for a PBEM game or two, or (if there are a handful of us who have the same game) perhaps we can have a forum tournament?

I haven't had the chance to take it out for a test drive yet but the graphics have improved considerably over CMBB. There are a number of real world type improvements made to the new game engine as well.

It costs nothing to take a look; the game environment is very pleasing to the eye. Hopefully the game engine itself proves to be a great upgrade to the original series....
