Hi all, this is well worth a look: "The Vilification of Enemy Leadership In WWII". Amazing cartoons which get better and better as you scroll down. I want them all on my HDD ! But right click is disabled !! Aaaarrggghhhhh !!!! Anyone know a way round it ? Will a screenshot program work maybe? [Edit: Answer: Yes! :der:] http://www.psywarrior.com/AxisLeadersMonsters.html
Ta Jim, & yes, courtesy of "FastStone Capture" - the best free screencap program I've tried so far. The Himmler one above reminds me of Gerald Scarfe, as here from "The Wall":
Hey Jim you won't know then, the central character in the movie is called "Pink" and is played by Bob Geldof. In the film, Pink's father was killed in WWII, as was the real-life father of Pink Floyd's Roger Waters, who wrote the whole thing. All the the hard knocks taken by the young Pink - such as his dead dad; and being let down by just about everyone in different ways his whole life; - cause him to build a mental wall between himself and everyone else. Eventually, his mental isolation starts to turn him into the same kind of screwed-up personality that antagonized the world during World War II, scarred his nation, and killed his father. When he realises this he goes completely mental... War references are all over the place not just in Scarfe's artwork. The song "Vera", for example, all about Vera Lynn.... It's a great old yarn , and a great album !
