Cool that LWD has chosen a handle/avatar..Horn rimmed glasses (probably spy wear). White collar, red tie.
Need a little bit more info here LWD. ..A mystery wrapped in black horn rimmed glasses.

    Well ...
I didn't choose them/it. That's just what the board defaulted to. I keep meaning to get an avatar up. Maybe a picture of my helm ...

Noticed that robots out number members 5 or 6 to one but guests are outnumbering the robots by a factor of anywhere from 2 to 4. Not sure of there's any import to that at all but I like numbers ....:)

    Robots are good.
    Robots feed their search engines.
    Then search engines feed forums.

Don't mind him. He didn't like "Hacksaw Ridge" either.

Is it possible to move Recent Posts to the left like WW2Talk? I don't see it on my phone, but it is accessible on my tablet and computer. Not a big deal. Just wondering.

I'll restore the old ones, but as you say, low priority.

Not sure this is editable at this time.

Salutes/likes were imported, but not sure what standards were used how or what fidelity there was. Take this as an opportunity for a clean slate.

As von Poop stated, bots are good as they crawl the site and feed data into search engines which gives us better exposure. They never log in to the site though, so you shouldn't be able to talk to them, but you can always try.

Did you manage to get this sorted? That would annoy me to no end, but it keeps me logged in.

It's not missing, it is the small arrow here:

Glad you resolved it. The effort will be worth it as this platform is heaps better than previous. Especially on my side of the house.

It's currently not viewable on phones, depending on what screen size you have. I'll make sure we have that option on all platforms, but it will take some digging.

It was still happening yesterday. Hasn't happened yet today. May relate to my habit of opening multiple tabs on the forum. Will see how today goes.
I've noticed a lot of the features seem to be smaller. Completely missed that one. Thanks for pointing it out.

Search engine seams to be a lot faster as well haven't tried it extensively yet but my impression is that it's a significant step up as well.

I does seem to be a bit faster, but it simply provides better results than what we had before. Not all search engines are created equal, and we now have the best technology out there.

Lou, the boss has mentioned screen size might have a bearing, and will doubtless be digging deeper, but for the moment on a 5" screen I find the recent posts link appears for me when I scroll down a little.

    Mmmmmm.
Uploading images from mobile with a couple of clicks. munitionspanzer-iii-2.jpg

    How cool is that...
You could do it on the old software, if you requested desktop site, located the image via documents then switched back to mobile view IF the upload went through.
Now, you can just do it.
And a full set of mobile text editing tools too.

    IPB's mobile skin was arse.
I shouldn't still be so pleased at such a basic function.

I can see it on my tablet and computer, just not my phone. No big deal. I'll just wait for it to be handled.

Still getting logged out at odd times. Often seams to be when I try to post but it could be I just notice it then. The board does retain the post and when I log back in post it so it's failing in a much better way than many boards which tend to loose the post.

I would put that down to either Trump or the Russians o_O - absolutely no problems from this side of the pond with logging in (fractionally slower than ww2talk.com) staying logged in, or posting.

    Thanks Otto

Multiple browser windows will cause problems if you have several on different site pages, and then you log in on one of them. As you noted, It does do a good job of keeping drafts, so there is that at least.

This is a known issue, and I've identified what is causing it. Fixing it will take some doing, but it is on the roadmap.
