Could have been bought for salvage and that didn't work out.

The salvage business across the street is significant.

On an unrelated topic, does anyone have a trailer that can accommodate airframes up to and including those equal in size to a F-14 Tomcat? There's no reason at all why I'm asking. Oh, and you'd need to meet me at a border slightly north of Texas.

I'm thinking some body is up to his own personal arms race.

You don't need a trailer, you need two sets of dollys.

Virginia would make sense. The wodds probably grew there after the aircraft were abanondoned. No recycling plans? It would be more profitable than picking empty soda cans.....
