This is a long shot, but does anyone have any information on the following:

    1. a “class 56M” in Miami Beach, Florida, during the summer of 1942
    2. the number set “G4-404 2889" which appears to be a phone number in 1942 for a person in Wash, D.C., but I could be wrong about that.

Thanks. Any help would be appreciated.

I wonder if the first is a reference to the Miami Beach Training Center? Can't help with the class number, but if you have further information, it might help. Miami Beach Training Center - Wikipedia

Lou, you are correct that the training school is probably the Miami Beach Training Center. I have researched thousands of microfilm and other pages at the AAFHResearch Center and found not a singel mention of Class 56m in 1942. I do have several thousands of pages left to go with the microfilm!

Thanks anyway for the quick response. This has not been an easy task.
