My father went to Fort Niagria Youngstown,NY this was a Reception Center he also went to Camp Pickett, Virginia for his basic training as a medic. My question is how long did a new recruit stay at a Reception Center and how long for a medics basic training?

I was 11b infantry in the Army(modern day), I can give details but need more information. What years? do you know exact mos?

Typically reception is at the same place you will go through basic. Like when I went to Fort Benning reception was at the same place, how long we stayed was up to the classes before us then we went down range to train. same place.
