ABBREVIATIONS and ACRONYMS of WW2 and service records

Someone I know asked me about an inscription on their uncles gravestone. It reads:

TEC5 H&S Co 607 ORD BAM BN.

We were wondering what the " BAM " stands for.

The two I normally hear are FUBAR and SNAFU but I'm pretty sure there was a third which I keep forgeting. I don't think STFU was it though. I think SNAFU was per the acronym normal and FUBAR the intermediate state with the one I can't remember being the worst state.

As for "BAM" I'm guessing Basic Automotive Maintenance based on:

I didn't see Rct for regimental combat team such as the 116rct which landed for the first Div on omaha beach

As in a service record. (granted W.P.P @ 6d per day)
also :- AASTADD
As in this sentence
Authority of "B" W.O.L 43/AA/1272/AASTAD.
And I.R.T.D
and C.T.B.E

 

WPP = war proficiency pay

IRTD = Infantry Reinforcement Training Depot

CTBE = Ceases to be Entitled

WOL = War Office Letter; 43 probably refers to the year of the document. I can't help with the rest. Hopefully someone else will know more.

 

I was searching for the meaning of an abbreviation on my father's "Military Record and Report of Separation Certificate of Service". He had an ESR Score of 86. The following link explains it.

I have a Question about WWII Decorations and Citations. Discharge Papers list AR 600-68 I am trying to Identify this item. I saw this listing..
AR – Automatic Rifle; Australian Regiment; Administrative Review;Army Reserve
My Grandfather was 115th Calvary Regiment 24th Division from Wyoming.

I Apologize if I am not following the Protocol for this site. I rather new at this.

 

AR 600-68 = Army Regulation 600-68, this regulation pertained to the Good Conduct Medal, it's awarding, forfeiting, etc.

"Repln Bn" I'm guessing is Replenishment Battalion? This is from a Marine Muster roll 1943: "Footnote "A" 1-4, on lv; 5, det to 51st Repln Bn, Camp LeJeune, N.C.
