One way to separate trolls from believers is that if you ridicule the latter (and they realize they've become a laughing stock) they usually give up. Trolls not so much.

Generally the real believers like to tout the same "evidence" over and over again to wear you down. Then when you can't make any plausible sense of their "evidence" (because its nonsense) they feel vindicated. I find it enjoyable just to poke fun.

The important part of addressing only the material presented is that you stay on the high ground and the mods don't stick pins in that doll that looks like you. In an earlier time I used to set a timer, fifteen minutes after reading a post before responding to it. The red haze faded...

The two are not completely inconsistent. If you happen to point out just how clearly a position is flawed in a humorous way you accomplish both goals. It may send them off on frothing personal attacks as well which again undermines their position even more and may well end up with them getting banned.

    Haha not sure.
Haven't gone through his answers to check.
I have gotten some reassurance that I'm still sane though...

Quite seriously, begin chatting about cookery or something completely unrelated.
Since the main aim of current online denialists is to try to lever open tiny conversational cracks they can begin twisting the dogmatic knife into, they hate it when they're ignored/glossed over. Have confirmed this multiple times by hate-mail received after turning some angry Nazi bollocks into a chat about scotch eggs, Quiches etc.
And lets face it, the only positive result you'll ever get from engaging is either triggering that throbbing vein anger in them, hopefully leading to aneurysm, and/or a nice new recipe for sausage rolls

I see what you did there...

Oh I'm very clever, at least that's what my mother tells me.

15 years ago we would occasionally get swarmed by a dozen or so Nazi accounts, posting clusters of Hitler photos and fascist rhetoric. I use the term "account" because it was often just a couple people conducting the activity. Fortunately, it's remarkably easy to ban accounts, block IPs, and quiet such types.

Today the use of subtlety is the norm, with direct, ham-fisted techniques rarely used. Almost anyone can create their own websites these days, and people can build interweb enclaves for whatever they like. The joy of free speech is that we can use our own language to counteract this activity, or better yet, (as von Poop mentiomed) choose to respond with tasty cooking recipes, and I certainly do like some scotch eggs!

Why? Except for a very few percent of the population gluten is not at all harmful and is essential for some of the better breads and baked products.

I was just poking gentle fun at the gluten free craze that the food industry is hyping and happens to be making mega bucks at the same time.

Should have put a smiley on my post. I thought of it as just a continuation of the recipe thing. )

Patton, Bradley, Eisenhower, viewing torture methods after a camp was liberated.

Interesting point, the guy in the stripes was almost plump compared to the rest of the inmates. Probably because he was actually one of the guards. Sneaky man.

Exactly the kind of thread drift that annoys Neo-Nazis. Superb work. :)

Has Panko got gluten in it?
Panko is the way forward for coating things.
Oh god, just googled it... the gluten crusaders have even got to Panko.

    Quote of the thread.
Whatever you say to them, no matter how sourced or logical, they can just make more stuff up to go with the other made-up stuff they present as established canon.
    The twats.
(See user 'Roscoe' here for examples. ;))

There you go. I sometimes forget that others do not get my sense of humour. It is in the genes. My Uncle would always ask potential 'new' members marrying into the tribe if there was any insanitary in their family. Scared a few off!

I'm guessing this guy watches Finding Hitler. Tell him he's a fool and move on.
