When I sign in I see Members, Guests, and Robots--What's with the robots? How do they differ from some of the members ?
Bots are automated machines that browse websites like this one for indexing on search engines. They aren't all that relevant to regular forum members, but they are quite a good thing from the perspective of a site administrator like myself. Bots means that the site is interesting and the search engines want to keep the site updated in their systems. Google has swarms of these things roaming the web for content.
