Inexplicably delivered about a month after it was sent, Slipdigit sent this during his recent trip to Europe. It's notable that Slipdigit's card is marked with a "mental health awareness" stamp, but I'll let you readers draw your own conclusions on why his card was marked as such.

Whatever the mental state of the sender, it was nice to see the Union Jack sitting in my mailbox when I collected the post. Rule, Britannia!

I needed mental help after looking for the mailbox I posted this card into. Mailboxes are sparse in the central part of London. I found this one near Westminster Abbey.

We had a grand time in London, with the added bonus of getting to see @Owen and his dear family.

Yeah, Owen, I am going to give you a hard time about this card.

The two I sent from Nederland dang near beat me home, even the one I mailed from Rotterdam after we got back from London. Whereas, the London-posted card took a month to get to Otto's mailbox. What's up with that? Did you haul it around in your postie lorry for a week or two before unloading it?

Don't you know? The republic of Texas is a nation unto itself, any international letter should be delivered there without question or further clarification.

Doesn't sound that bad, but maybe we're all just atuned to it now through films and tv.
My brother's fourth wife is a Texas gal originally. Don't know how long she's been in North Carolina.

Her #9 question, "What do you call it when the it is raining and the sun is shining?" is mostly a Gulf Coast thing, heavily in Alabama, Mississippi and some in Florida and Georgia.

The answer would be "The devil is beating his wife."

Oliver Hardy, who was from Georgia, used that expression. I heard it in Maryland, too, that state still being fairly Southern in some parts.

My son recently said "Yes ma'am" to a lady who asked him if he wanted a cookie. Texas is already having it's impact.

It brought a smile when I heard him say it. More amusing is hearing locals wrestle with the name "Ottavio" when he introduces himself.

Well, why didn't she say that? BTW, I am no Canuck. I don't finish my sentences with "eh". Although, if my hearing keeps going south (no pun intended), my sentences may end up starting with "eh?".
