I missed the tags the first time around and got a bit confused. When they introduce the soldier there's a tag "One Week". The civilian boater's tag reads "One Day", and the pilot's tag reads "One Hour". First time in my 67 years seeing three different time lines interlaced like that. I liked even despite that bit of confusion (and despite the Spit that ran on dilithium crystals.)

Of course it would be more accurate to tell the individual stories of 400,000 men, one at a time, chronologically.

Well, if you read the last paragraph of your link, you learn that Ridley Effing Scott Hisself, yes, THAT Ridley Effing Scott (my favorite historical epic director), is remaking Battle of Britain! The original BoB was a great war film and if anybody can make it better, it will be Ridley Effing Scott! I'm not sure Effing is actually his real middle name, but I've been saying it that way for many years and it's habit now. I don't always add "Hisself" at the end, but if the Queen hasn't already awarded him that title, she's really failed and ought to get pensioned off.

Happily for you I am on a cell phone (when the nurses don't notice) so I didn't make it to the bottom of the page. Boss Lady is supposed to bring my laptop later. The Chivas Extra had better be in that bag somewhere.

Oh, just take a Motrin and walk it off! If that doesn't work, then the Scotch can't hurt.

The motrin would be the first solid thing I've had in two weeks. And that would be a shame.

True, the British helped in the rearguard duties, but those French tanks were virtually wiped out, and without their support, the British didn't stand a chance at holding as long as they did.
