Hello everybody, by this time tomorrow I'll be in Salt Lake flying up to Montana where I'll be staying until next Thursday night. Hopefully nothing overly eventful happens while I'm gone, and nobody solves World Peace without me! I'll let you know how it was when I get back! -JJ
Just drove through Billings to North Dakota today heading home from Yellowstone. Weather great although it was a tad breezy/ 20-30mph headwinds. Looking forward to the low 80’s back home in Minnesota. Enjoy the Big Sky country, it’s awesome
I'm excited, it is indeed a beautiful state, and I'm sad I won't be there longer, but I've got a pretty good life back here in Arizona, so I'm not too sad.
Well everybody, I have returned a happier and more relaxed person since traveling up to Glacier National Park in Montana. It was a fantastic trip, and was pretty special because it was the first time my sisters Fiance, Oliver, came on a family vacation with us since their engagement back in January of this year. It was great from day one when we drove the road to the sun, which is the most popular part of the park, and it's a beautiful drive! We rented ATV's and went riding along the Northern most part of the park, and we even got to "cross" the Canadian border, which was completely in the middle of the woods, and miles away from any trail, so now I've been to Canada as well! Me, my Dad, and Oliver went on a 19 mile hike to Grinnell Glacier, which took us 10 hours to complete, but it was beautiful! My favorite places in the park, were two medicine lake, and lake McDonald, both lakes have beautiful beaches we rested and had lunch on. We also went to the Many Glacier Swiss style hotel, that had a beautiful view, we didn't stay there, but we did take a boat tour. As far as wildlife goes, we saw 8 or 9 deer, 2 Cow Moose, a beaver, plenty of squirrels and marmots, 4 or 5 mountain goats, and a mom Brown bear with two cubs. It was a fantastic trip, and I can't wait to go again! Road to the Sun Two Medicine lake Many Glacier hotel The trail we hiked to get to Grinnell Glacier Lake McDonald
