New trailer for Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk. Be warned, only the first two minutes are new. After that you get the previous two trailers tacked on.
The new French film 'Winter War' appeared on a Vietnamese site with Arabic subtitles. I didn't that it had been released. Does anyone have any more info about the film. Apparently it is set during the last winter of the war.
The Finnish film 'The Unknown Soldier' (Tuntematon sotilas) about the continuation war was first released back in 1954. A remake was made 1985, and now a second remake will be shown on theatres in Finland from the 27th of October 2017. The new film is a long one - three hours, and is a co-production between Finland, Belgium, and Iceland.
The Anglo-American film 'The Aftermath', set inHamburg 1946, and the Dutch 'Bankier van het Verzet' are two new WWII movies. The British 'Journey's End, set in Aisne, France, is also a new movie that premiered in the end of last year.
A poss. "what if" movie would be about the National Redoubt, where the SS was to hold out and fight to the last man. We'd have a small team of fighters go in and render the main complex useless, making further resistance futile. The closing scene would be when the team walks in on Hitler with a pistol to his head. Shot rings out, fade to black.
I did a search and unless I missed it, this is due out early next year. Greyhound, a WW II Destroyer with Tom Hanks. Being filmed on a Destroyer in Louisiana. Greyhound (2019) - IMDb
There are so many fantastic stories from WW2 that could be movies..........but instead they're going to make a fictional horror story out of it............fantastic......
Yep, 8 February. Based on Forrester's The Good Shepherd with screenplay by Hanks. Could be very good. Or it could be U537 again. Still waiting for someone to do Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors...
I'll admit, I watched those when I was young, and enjoyed them, especially "The Incredible Mr. Limpet", I'm not a horror fan, so that is the main reason for my response, not all WW2 movies that are fictional are bad....."Saving Private Ryan", I just don't like the horror spin.........just my opinion though.
There is a Russian film by the name of "T-34", that will be released on December 27th 2018 in Russia, it looks pretty good too me..........
