Indeed.......Russian film quality is not to be underestimated, especially when the movie covers the Great Patriotic war, or the Civil War.

I have another upcoming movie! This one is Hurricane, It's about the famed Polish 303rd Squadron in the Battle of Britain, the graphics aren't amazing and it looks a little cheesy at moments, but I'm wholly glad there will be another movie about the Battle of Britain, this time on the Polish flyers perspective, it will be released on August 17th in Poland.

Some dialog seems a little cliche, but worth a look I think.

As usual, the oxygen mask is a useless appendage that only gets in the way of seeing the actor's face...

I think movies wear they do wear oxygen mask's like Top Gun, and the Battle of Britain, are slightly more immersive, and it's cooler than seeing the actor's face......no offense actors.

Here is another interesting find.......Spitfire, this was already released in July of this year in the U.K, it looks great too me.

Another movie with potential starring Paul Rudd.....The Catcher was a Spy, released June 22 of this year..........never even heard of it till now. The movie is about the assasination plot on the German scientist working on Atomic weaponry, and the former MLB player being used as a spy......

Saw some more new trailers today, one is about the First World War, but I thought I'd include it just to see everyone's reaction. The Other actually looks quite promising........
    Take a look......

I'm somewhat torn about this movie, hollywood is finally making another WW1 movie, which brings more attention to the conflict, that I appreciate, how they are doing it, and the way they are conveying it, is rather upsetting.

The only reason I'm hyped for this is that were getting the German perspective........definitely not because Keira Knightly is in it!

Saw the trailer for "Overlord" on the big screen. Screen was big enough for me to spot at least FIVE Iowas off the Normandy beaches. Maybe five feet off the Normandy beaches. Seen from a glider or C-47 that was flying parallel to coast. Looking for a bar were we?

"A different, refreshing approach to the First World War", (They shall not grow old....)

JJ, I listened to a NPR story about the making of this.. The complexities of making it were impressive. They had forensic lip readers study early film to ascertain what people were saying and include actors saying what the original soldiers were saying. The said the films were digitized and reworked for clarity and not to impress. The colorization, often controversial, was said to be well done. I look forward to seeing this WW1 production.

From watching the trailer, it seems that it is just the U.K's story that is focused on, I'd still love to watch it regardless, but it would be wonderful to see the French, Germans, Americans, Italians, Austro-Hungarians, and the Russians. But that's asking a lot..........

I digitized the USN/USMC awards book for WWI for the Naval History and Heritage Command /plug. The stories I read there made me wish they could do a series on them. ALL the major award "winners" have stories that should be told.

Oh come on Opana! Don't you remember! There were 9 Iowa class ships there, and 6 Yorktown class carriers as well, along with the USS Constitution for good measure!! :D

Can't count Old Ironsides, she had been, "for hostilities", converted into a gedunk. She served ice cream to both sides. I know this is true, I read it on the internet.

Yeah, don't you just hate historically inaccurate Nazi Zombie movies?
