I don't drink so this discussion makes no sense to me. However, it's certainly better than the original concepts.

Hey, if you have to hijack a beer truck to make things work, then that's what you do. Plenty of libations, friendship, and sensible talk . . . at least until the libations take over or run out.

Here, Lou, have a Pepsi . . . don't want you going dry on us.

There is a favorite Jewish wine/whine joke in there somewhere.

    Mmmm....Song!

He was short and fat, and rode out of the West
With a Mogen David on his silver vest.
He was mean and nasty right clear through,
Which was kinda weird, 'cause he was yellow too.

Mad Dog 20/20 Couldn't drink the stuff.

I had a roommate in college that drank this crap

    $2 a bottle.

    What's the word?
    Thunderbird
    What's the price?
    A dollar twice.

You foreigners will note, it says right there on the bottle: "An American Classic"

    And then there was this:

I must confess I drank this my sophomore year...

...of high school. There is an entry where a friend signed my yearbook that year referencing this, this, whatever it is.

Bear in mind that I was 15 at the time and just getting acquainted with competitive hurling, that climaxed in college with a hunchpunch-induced effort on the glass windows of an almost packed Waffle House. I earned a "life-time" ban for my troubles.

Although I called Ralph quite loudly and colorfully, he never showed up.

Here’s an odd story for fans of Budweiser ...

Last spring Orthodox rabbis in New York City put a brief ban on beer … except for Anheuser-Busch! (Budweiser, Stella Artois, Becks, etc). The reason was not due to a quality violation of the kashrut. Most beer is kosher by default.

The major liquor distributor in town, who is Jewish but not Orthodox, allegedly did not follow ownership laws of leavened products during the Passover which made his beer stock not fit for consumption. A loophole is the Mechirat Chemitz but must be documented correctly to sidestep the Passover rule and this caused a dispute. And so for about a month restaurants, caterers and individuals were warned by rabbis to choose from a few brands on their safe beer list.

Anheuser-Busch sells beer direct and received the endorsement because the usual distributor was sanctioned by rabbis. I have no idea if Budweiser tried to capitalize on support from a high-powered rebbe, or if they were aware they had a temporary monopoly in this market. :)

Used to call it 'honesty juice'.
One bottle hammered, the next telling everyone exactly what you thought.
'Awkward silence in the morning juice' might have fitted just as well...

Doesn't affect like normal alcohol. Something psychoactive going on. Probably just chemical poisoning.

Nicest bottled beer I've had in a long while. Even better on draught:

I guess I'm just a country boy at heart. Tried a few of the "novelty beers"? , but always return to my roots, Pabst Blue Ribbon. Luckily overcame the effects of Boones Farm strawberry wine, it was the late 60's, and enjoy an occasional glass of Scotch.

Obviously a cognoscenti of the Red, which even made the blue taste OK.

Ahh, 1969 and Boones Farm Apple Wine. The wine that grapes never touch. On average it took one bottle to make it from Ocean View in Norfolk to "the strip" in downtown Virginia Beach . . . amongst friends, that is.
