Hi All, It's been ages since I've had a chance to post. But I finally have a bit of down time, so I wanted to reach out and thank everyone who helped us with technical and historical details, as my production company worked to complete our latest WWII feature, "DAUNTLESS" We have a trailer up on YouTube, if you'd like to check it out: I have no doubt that imperfections will be spotted and there will be areas where we couldn't always be 100% accurate (time and budget are evil mistresses), but we put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into making a film that we hope will do justice to the courage and sacrifice of these incredible heroes. I'll let you all know the movie's official release date just as soon as I have it. And, again, a HUGE thank you to each and every one of you who offered your time and expertise!!! Your input was invaluable!
Thanks, ColHessler! I'm right there with ya - my wife actually squealed and started jumping up and down when she heard we got Judd Nelson. Ah, the '80s...
I look forward to the release. I'm sure we remember you efforts to get the planes right. Hope I didn't nit-pick you to death. Rich
Thank you, Half Track! We're excited to get it out there and I hope you'll enjoy it if you get the chance to check it out.
It feels like it's been a long (LONG, PAINFULLY looooong) time coming, but I sincerely hope it does justice to the story.
The devil's in the details, Rich. I'm not going to pretend we were able to get everything perfectly perfect - but, although you might call it "nit-picking" we consider it guiding us away from a cliff of total inaccuracy. So, truly, THANK YOU! You were a tremendous help!
