The US doesn't win anything, is among the 15 worst performers in the total-deaths-per-million competition.

Contact tracing has shown that most infections stem from the home, where “sustained contact” between members of the household facilitates the spread, according to Bromage. On the other hand, only a marginal percentage of cases have been traced back to supermarkets, parks and other outdoor settings.
He calls attention in particular to cruise ships, which “don’t even land in the top 50 outbreaks to date,” he writes.

We don't win anything because as a people and a country we suck. Admit it and there is hope.

Got 2 N95 masks. The fellow who gave them to me has a job that has him going into the basements in my town. He's seen a few with Nazi flags and symbols. Admit it. We suck. And as the current leader is the Great Divider we will continue to suck
But I have secured protection for wife and me. Protection from my neighbors

New York coronavirus cases make up almost 35 percent of the nationwide total.
And New York is a tiny speck on the map.
New York and it's glorious leftist leaders suck, not the US.

During the Middle Ages, victims of the bubonic plague were used for biological attacks, often by flinging fomites such as infected corpses and excrement over castle walls using catapults. They use to tie the body along with the canon balls and use to shoot them towards the city area.

We suck. A nation divided against itself and standing alone in the world can not survive. America is gone. The experiment is over. Barr said so today.

    Individual rights are individual rights.
Or do certain individuals have more rights than others.

    No Shite Sherlock...

Never had a family or roommates?

Never had one family member get sick, and pass it along to the rest of the family. This even was when everyone was coming & going, and home was only where you slept. One person got it then the next, like dominoes.

Yes...NYC has a population that would rank it in the top 50% of countries...Focused in a much smaller area.

Corona is focused mainly in the cities as opposed to rural areas...Go figure.

Converesly, this is a national emergency, not a local one. Unfortunately, despite his sudden interest finally having press briefings. I have gotten more information from local leadership than our president.

This is ignorance at it's best....How many cruise ships are there? Not that many. Most are around 3000-5000 passengers-if fully loaded. How many places are there in the US with a population over 5,000 - thousands.

He might as well have said "Don't go near a tornado!"
Yes, thank you, I knew that already...Now how about telling me some pertinant information.

They are probably not the only ones trying to steal our research., the Russians and maybe Iranians as well.

The Chinese factory owners I worked for and had dinners with were quite Christian in how they ran their business so I'm biased. You must have had a different experience.

Funny story. I met the mom and dad who started the business and two adult sons who were running it at a hotel in Niagara Falls. NF in Canada because Niagra Falls the US side is a joke. They do a trip around the world every year to see their best customers. Eric, the oldest son, told me his dad was craving Chinese food so I asked the concierge to suggest a good Chinese place for dinner.. It was pouring rain so I dropped them off in front of the restaurant and left to park the car a few blocks away. On my way back, Erik calls to me from a dark side alley saying they found a better place. Through an unmarked door, and down a flight of stairs to a dim restaurant. Probably 20 diners in the place and I'm the only one with round eyes. The food was to die for. After fumbling for a bit with chopsticks, the mom smiled a bit and handed me a fork.

Hardly new news...The Chinese have been doing this kind of medical/industrial espionage for years. There were several cases were Chinese citizens or US citizens were caught doing medical espionage in 2018-2019. COVID is only the most recent.

Of course...Now that I have been wondering about it.

If this is a world wide pandemic, would it not be more beneficial to share the research done in pursuit of a vaccine, as opposed to each lab/company pursuing it's own research?

Seems to be a lot of duplicated effort, hindering rather than hastening finding a vaccine.

But again, patents & $$$ rule the day.
