Ebola isn't that deadly, everyday hygiene is more than enough to prevent it. It can't spread easily so it has to kill fast - literally hoping that your pack members will devour you (or try to help you) and it will be able to spread this way. But this will lead to its eventual downfall if everyday hygiene is more than enough to prevent it.
From what I read it appears this virus is more intelligent than ... Oh never mind. Hey Opana, still kickin' it in Minnesota !
Corona can infect you through touch and obviously airborne way ( cough, sneezing) so the mask protects you. Ebola can infect through bodily excretes like feces, urine, vomit, mother's milk. And blood naturally. The Ebola section was from a Professional site and true it is easily destroyed. I guess we can return to Corona.
Found out my son in law tested positive for covid. He felt crappy last week, thought he just had a cold, and a few folks told him ,You don't get sick - better see about getting tested. Did and does. Two weeks of waving instead of hugging the kids now.
The virus preys on us, not the other way round. So who's better. Darwin says: It is not the strongest that survives, nor the most intelligent...
The vaccine by Pfizer should give 90% cover so waiting for more usage results and possible usage. I heard it requires a minus 70 C degrees place to keep before melting so that is a bit of a problem. The Russian Sputnik vaccine not much data yet. It has been started to be given to health care workers but that´s all.
...would you say ''intelligent'' people would know to and do stay in good health/exercise/etc? I know it's ''stupid'' to not think about my health ..the strong are the ones who survive--the obese/weak/etc are the ones hardest hit by C19......exercise makes you more healthy and can help reduce C19 symptoms
The strong are the ones to survive? So where are all the dinosaurs...Seems that the "strong" died and the weak survived.
The dinosaurs needed large amounts of food survive while the mole-sized mammals could have eaten dead plants and bark off fallen trees and struggled along for the about two years of the nuclear winter the Chicxulub meteor produced.
hahahhahah you go from C19 to the dinosaurs --WOW!! ..so, as usual, you did not and cannot refute the fact that most of those that die are the old, with underlying conditions, obese, etc [weaker--the weak] ...the dinosaurs died out-- -most --almost all--Americans do not even have C19 -331 million people and 11 million cases and 6 million recovered with 250,000 deaths United States Coronavirus: 11,184,284 Cases and 250,987 Deaths - Worldometer the dinosaur analogy is ridiculous
You said "the strong survive", did you not. The dinosaur example is but one proof that the strong do not always survive. The Flu Pandemic of 1918 is another, the "strong" were the majority of the deaths, the "weak" had far better survival rates. As has been said before - it is not the "strong" or "intelligent" that survive, but those best able to adapt to changing conditions.
I’m old. Getting there pretty quickly, anyway. Chronic post nasal drip, makes me cough a lot. Do ya think this makes it risky for me? I love my mask. Says “U.S. Navy Veteran.” I’ve lived a good life. Something has to kill me. Maybe a big truck?
I guess we are in a way lucky the corona is not that deadly and not that air-borne as it could be.Today when people with the illness travel by plane and the disease is spread all over the globe in a week or less, maybe even 24 hrs. We are facing the second round of the viral attack and if we are unlucky, the virus has mutated so that the infection is more deadly than when it started. For instance HIV was so hard to treat because it kept changing its surface proteins all the while and vaccines are based on showing the human defensive mechanism that this is to be destroyed. Antibiotics do not work because it is a virus. I just hope the vaccines are a success because the viral infection otherwise keeps on going around the globe again and again. I am in a way lucky I can stay separataed from the "big world" in my summer cottage, I only visit my local food shop 1-3 times a week and stay away from cities and other people. As many people have read, I believe, the body´s antibodies only protect you from another infection for a couple of months, so getting the infection later on is not impossible. Without a working vaccine I do not know can we get rid of the corona. Then again we have fought the HIV quite well but the treatment is not a vaccine but several medication tablets taken daily. Stop the medication and the infection wins. All the best to winning the viral war and all the people.
