Just wondered what our distinguished members and friends have in the way of thoughts on this subject.

    Given that.....

The trade war with China seems to be getting worse rather than better
That Chinese espionage has increased notably
The bad relations with India, Taiwan, South Korea, Indonesia and Malaysia and Australia..
The repeated flexing of economic bullying by china to its trading partners
The ageing of the US Navy and the rapid build-up of Chinese naval strength
The annexation or attempted annexation of the South China Sea

Given all these realities, I believe a hot war with China will come sooner rather than later.

But I believe the biggest question of all is....Which way will The Russian government lean, or will they stay neutral ?

And....in a war with China, will we see the deployment and usage of Nuke, either tactically or strategically?

The Doomsday clock is the closest its ever been to midnight....

What do you think about this most important issue and events and how do you see them developing?

I thought the USA produced Many items in China because it is cheaper that way. So Trump's police of higher taxes leading China making higher taxes is leading nowhere.
China is a polluted country. People are during Young. I saw a document where old US Computers where they were shipped to India and China where the gold and silver were melted from the Computers and this caused poisoning of people. I think China has a lot of other problems than starting a war.

President Trump's policy of tariffs to make American companies stop making things in China has led to China hurting economically. So who knows what China might do now. Europe can keep buying things made with Chinese slave labor, but we are not anymore, or at least some of us.

..and they said we would be at war with North Korea post 2016
    ..and with Iran
..even the Korean War was contained
..chances of war with China are slim--possible but very slim

.....Nukes/ABombs----there have been many wars involving countries with nukes---and they were never used--even in the Korean War when China gave the US an A$$ whipping ..China threw a whole corps off the peninsula!! ....and the other units into a deep retreat

Nukes are usually only an option to defend Mother territory from invasion...so one fights the battle on a third party’s territory.
The US has sought a way of using them for other less critical reasons...hence the development of tactical nukes. I don’t think one of these has been used in war either though...

I'd keep North Korea more of a question mark with loads of promises and lies but thats my opinion. Making tests with underground nuclear explosions and sending possible long range missiles we shall hear of them sooner or later. Even China has complained their doings.

Indeed amazing. I saw a document there were up to 2,000,000 US soldiers during time and left. How many Chinese would there be. Wow. Defenders are always the stronger side, it seems. Even with agent orange.

Germany was Britain's largest trading partner prior to 1914, and that did not stop WW1 from happening. There are certain lines that cannot be crossed no matter what the economics are.

How often economics stop the war? Not a lot. Like said in war young men die and the older recall how awful it was.

China this week has now allowed it”s coast guard to fire upon shipping...and has told Taiwan that Independance means war...we are edging closer...how many ‘mates’ are going to step away slowly from America and how many will step to their shoulder..? ‘You wanna go mate?’ - What an Australian says before throwing a punch...
