'Midway' By Emmerich. Quite well done and quite enjoyed it 'Doctor sleep' which is said to be the next chapter of the original Shining ( Nicholson). Not too bad but I did not catch the connection of all the characters with the original Shining. Maybe I should read the King's book if there is One.
Document of Austrian ss-commander Franz Murer who was in Lithuania responsible for the Vilna ghetto for Jews. Known also as the butcher of Vilna. After that on the television Channel " Schindler's list".
I don't know why Murer was in court in Graz and not some neutral place. The old nazis managed to make the jury vote 4-4 which in 1963 meant in Austria that Murer was a free man of murder charges. In Vilna ghetto of 80,000 Jews only 500 survived and Murer was in charge until late 1943. Incredible. Why in Graz and the jury did not vote 8-0. Murer died of old age in 1994.
The Crown, on Netflix. Halfway through season four. It is the best of its kind, as far as I have seen. The acting and the characters portrayed are phenomenal and the settings, the countryside and castles are wonderful. I thought that they tried to keep it as historically correct as possible but I am sure some things have to be written in. I believe I read that two more seasons are still to come. I also learned a lot about the Royal Family and their history by referring to Wikipedia occasionally as I watched it. I knew the Queen was 94 but never knew that Edward was 99. John Lithgow’s portrayal of Winston Churchill was just wonderful also, as some who watched would agree. I believe he won awards.
No, I am sorry. But I thought she looked familiar. I really never watched the X files but maybe a few times.
I liked the X-files until they started investigating alien poop in the grass of a house. End of ideas?
Watching “Reign” on Netflix, now at season one, episode 20. A bit bloody at times, off with her head. Mary Queen of Scott’s. But Caitlin Stasey as Kenna is so very lovely. From Melbourne, Australia.
Nice combat scenes but 3/4 beer and sex. I am 54 not my thing to watch. Sorry. 6/10. The best i could give.
Have been watching "Greg's Airplanes and Automobiles" on YouTube. There's a lot here on WW2 aircraft that goes into far greater depth than most videos, or even books. It helps if you have a background in auto mechanics and aeronautics to help understand what he's talking about but he does try to bring it down to lay"persons" understanding. To give you and idea, he has 6 or 8 videos (1 hour or more) on just the P47. Try it. Betcha can't watch just one!
Just watched " Kalashnikov" a Russian movie By Sergei Bodrov. 15 minutes of war then developing guns. Not too bad. I quite liked it enough to keep it.
