A odd movie about a white tiger one that would suddenly appear shoot a dozen or more tanks and disappear. A survivor gains an insight into the tiger and can talk to tanks. Based on myth or war stories but the rest was either the tank was a ghost or crewed by ghosts.

Indeed I've seen it and still have the DVD somewhere. Someone involved with the production of this movie was a contributor here some years back and gave us some interesting info about the creation of the replica Tiger 1.

It's a strange movie with a supernatural element - but a good effort ; not too much CGI and the T-34s sound great. It won't change your life but it's worth a watch.

Recall watching a russian utube movie about the white tiger...it was low budget...ff 'd it a few times. meh.
there is a good russian cgi production showing tank battles with ultra slow motion shell penetrations...think it was on the same channel.

T-55 with 100 mm gun can easily chew up any WW II tank the Soviets throw at it. I give the Russians credit for modifying vehicles to look like the Pz IVh and what not. Movie was OK and I'm grateful it was free.

I think the tiger in the movie is a mock up. Has a side skirt that hides most of the running gear couldn't make out the wheels. Has great shots of most of the other tanks, even a Grant and mitilda. Interesting the 34/85s with late cast spoke or earlier solid cast and some with mix of both type. Some with cupola some without. Some pretty graphic scenes the sound effects for the 88 was odd. Like your opinion on it.

Would you say it's the "Tiger" from Kelly's Heroes? I'll definitely watch it in the next few days.

Not sure I was thinking that myself, but added the side skirt to hide the t34 running gear. Good close up of 34s some gore typical Soviet tactics charge in infantry on the tanks. Sorry I would bail as soon as the shooting started tanks are shot magnets.

    And
The "Tiger" in White Tiger is a modded IS-2M tank, the "Tigers" is Kelly's Heroes were all modded T-34s.

The filmmakers of White Tiger had commissioned a 1:1 scale replica of a Tiger I to be built, however it was not ready before filming started, so they used the IS-2M instead. Shame really, because the replica Tiger I was completed and looks WOW!

Yes - I'd forgotten ; that was an impressive clip that the film production guy put on the Forum.

Must have put my notes somewhere else. Anyway, it was interesting on a high level for giving a look at the current Russian take on the war. On the ground level it was fun watching the tanks charge around. The Tiger did indeed have the wrong suspension, etc., for a Tiger plus the rear deck is way too long for a Mk I. The concept of the eternal warrior, doomed to fight forever for a lost cause isn't new.

If you have the patience (like some patients I could name) to watch it all the way through you might find it worthwhile.
