    "Buffalos of No. 453 Squadron RAAF lined up at RAF Sembawang (Singapore) in November 1941. Buffalo AN185/TD-V was flown by Flt Lt Doug Vanderfield, who shot down three Japanese bombers (two Ki-48s and one Ki-51) over Butterworth, Penang on 13 December 1941, while his undercarriage was still down."

    "Stug III followed by a munition transport (Sd.Kfz. 252). The Stug carried about 44 shells, a Sturmgeschütz-Batterie needed a special ammo carrier which had a load capacity of 200 shells (trailer included)."

    Yes please...from the very first time I saw a whirly, I saw it as a sport plane...A gentleman and sportsman might get around in such an aircraft...certainly if I was an Air Marshall, I would have a personalised whirlwind, not a hurricane...but that’s just me...

    "USS Randolph alongside the repair ship Jason at Ulithi Atoll in the Caroline Islands on 13 March 1945, showing damage to her deck from a kamikaze hit that killed 27 men and wounded 105. The Randolph rejoined the U.S. fleet in April, 1945. The Randolph was an Essex class fleet carrier."
