I understood from books the Manchurian army was way too weak to fight the Red Army in 1945. I am sure you also mean that with the Japanese High Command practically laughing to 'Intel' info?

Not just the Manchurian Army, but also the Japanese Kwangtung Army. The Kwangtung Army had been stripped of many of it's better units for Homeland defense and to fight in the Pacific. By 1945, it was made up mostly of recently raised conscript units that had little training and were ill-equipped.

Basically, if not dismissing the reports as erroneous simply out of hand, because they did not want to believe the would be attacked by the USSR.

Since the two were still neutral. The IJA had military advisors stationed at main points on the Trans-Siberian who were counting trains, railcars, and what they were carrying. There were also observation posts overlooking the TSRR where it ran close to the border. The IJA had also dispatched recon teams to sneak over the border to watch the TSRR. But all this Intel coming in was dismissed and not believed.

I thought the status of the Japanese Army & Manchukuo Army in 1945 was rather mundane.

According to my coworkers all the interesting stuff is on websites I have never visited(nor do I want to) Twitter, Tic-Toc, and Snap Chat.

Although I would not mind having a PBR. Take that sucker out on Blue Marsh lake and scare the hell out of fishermen and pleasure boaters.

I haven't had enough. Does that fit here? Before you answer, let me have a couple more. That may answer my question. :D

I've only had 6 - 16oz Pabsts today. So far.
Spent $1,600 at the local GM dealer for new power steering hoses and a fuel line over last few weeks. $450 first visit. $1200 last week since it still leaked after their first attempt which also miraculously somehow developed a fuel leak after their "fixing" the power steering pressure lines. The day after getting home had a bottles worth of steering fluid on the garage floor, today went to fill the gas tank and put a gallon of gas on the ground due to their uncanny ability to 'forget' to attach the hose from the fill cap to the tank ? !
Yeah they're getting a call tomorrow.

agree must have been mundane, about as much interest in the Manchurian conflict as - (I'll think of something soon).
Were the Chukuo's anything like the Gurkha ? Now Those guys make a damn fine cigar.

Thought of something: About as much interest as when my third wife's second cousin got run over by a Rhinoceros

I shared a room in the barracks* with a young gun who purchased a used Mustang. He gave me a ride and we stopped for gas. When he got out he opened the trunk! I was afraid he was going to pump gas into the trunk so I got out and took a peek. He was pumping into the hose that lead to the tank. It had lost the clamp that secured it to the filler cap. I had to show him how to reconnect the hose.

"Ain't no big deal, I can still fill the tank, can't I?"

"Yeah, but the fuel system is no longer a closed system, so it can bounce out of there or if you do a rollover the entire tank would spill out onto the ground your roof is laying on."

    "Oh."

Actually, I find that interesting, but then I don't have a third wife (ex- or otherwise).

Had a nice conversation with the service manager. At least I was civil (to a point), when he started to say maybe the power steering on the garage floor was from 'residual' dripping from the original leak I told him that was a Hell of a lot of residual fluid since the reservoir only holds 12-18 ozs and showed nearly full after 'dripping'. When I asked if they possibly failed to bleed the lines properly he say "sounds like it".
I offered to send a couple pictures of the hose dangling just above the gas tank inlet but he said No need to.

Got a few free oil changes coming and an envelope waiting for me at the service counter with compensation.

I'm kinda surprised with 1/144 so popular these days there's still no train set. Yeah you got n scale but it is not 144 its160 got a few 160 to compare and it is noticeable the size difference when identical vehicles are side by side. Got the dml rail series armored train cars flat bed tank carriers and more hope to build a train scene German armed train transporting tanks to the front. I figure I should be able to build shipping cars and passenger cars using the flatcar as the base building anti aircraft guns will be a bit of a challenge sine not many models of any crept maybe Japanese. Maybe I'll have to get a p1000 I think it's got some. Lol saw another p1000 they had one years back twin turret saw one with a triple turret I have a bunch of leopolds was thinking of building my own p1000 twin gun turret the land ship has two e100 turrets on the back corners and anti aircraft guns between the small and large turrets and a bow mounted 128 mm. I want a true land ship add a stepped bow with two more e100 turrets a gun platform above for more anti aircraft and antiaircraft on top of the 11 inch gun turret. They say it would have been just as vulnerable to air attac as ships at sea. It is an insane design they have epic battles where a bunch of Stalin threes attack it and the guns of the land ship knock out some of the soviet tanks and the just rolls over them gigantor crush

Wow I'm impressed never knew they did that, the paint scheme looks similar to the A5. Did they have to build a reinforced airframe like the 111 was one heavy baby. I think I have four in my stash. I was upset we lost that one in the libyian raid. Would have liked it if we had zero losses

We need to get all the interpreters and their families out of there! We know who they are, we have had the time we need...I'm not happy with how long it's taking.

Things always don't seem to go smoothly. Americas exit from Vietnam was anything but smooth. It was a real mess, I have to say that mess made me very disappointed with Nixon. The military told they could not bring any Vietnamese civilians. The military there knew they were leaving these people to face torture and execution smuggled thousands out on ships and planes. He'll Orange County got the bulk of them these people investing money into their own businesses starting a city block long street section into almost all Vietnamese businesses den buying out the old bowling alleys and running them. Little Saigon it was called now covers several square miles showing hot hard working and industrialist they are. Hah siriracha a popular hot sauce was started by a former Vietnamese military officer who stared in his garage and now owns one of the largest hot sauce producing plants employing hundreds and sold all over the USA it was popular in parts of Ohio. And then a few years back some burger places came out with a siriracha burger. I like it on eggs and beef sometimes chicken ad pork if I'm in the mood for something spicy. I mean ok pul the troops out but he cut all military aid. The south couldn't defend themselves because they had no munitions. But did the north stop getting arms from fuss is and China hell no. Came rolling down in their newly supplied 250 t55s with almost noting to stop them. I don't think Russia is close anymore andchinese relationsarestrained with China trying to claim Vietnamese territorial waters read Vietnamese gunboats Santa few Chinese fishing boats violating there waters. Maybe the Chinese should put some of their excess funds into marine farming and put some of those fishermen into new sea harvesting

Yes Australia received many refugees from Vietnam, they have proved to be excellent members of society and work very hard for their kids to have a good life...They couldn't believe the food available and the health care...it was magic for them. You can see a Vietnamese person these days with a broad Australian accent...weird but very cool.
