This is real low'n'slow collecting - I bought my deact S&W 'pre-Victory' revolver over 25 years ago. Browsing in a little militaria shop last week, I came across some correct, original British .380 rounds. Deactivated, nickel-headed with unmarked primers and all WW2 dated. Surprisingly hard to find in this condition and completes my gun nicely. Worth waiting for ! ;)

Love your M&P, that's a really cool piece of history. I have a thing for British small arms.

I recently picked up a .455 Colt New Service with British Proof, made in 1916. I'm a big Colt fan personally, and I'll be the first to say the Webley was the better weapon. I know the Colt New Service are just brute strong, and very reliable (for a revolver); and they kinda just last forever. So no doubt the Colt was the more robust revolver, but it ends there. The Webley's grip is leaps and bounds better than the Colt. Webley's are famous for very stiff DA triggers. Well I can tell you, the DA on my New Service is absolutely no better; maybe even worse. Single action is about the same. But the Webley is much more lively in the hand, much faster to reload, and the hammer is much easier to manipulate.

That's not the case when you compare the medium frame Webley / Enfield's to the S&W M&P. The M&P is just butter smooth, perfectly sized, light weight, and tough as nails. I would actually take the S&W over the Webley/Enfield when it comes to the medium frames.

Himmler sent some courage-letters to his troops, in this case Finnish Waffen SS-volunteers.

This is more WW1 than WW2, but I'm sure they found their way around in WW2. 1916 Colt New Service in .455 Mk IIl. What I love about this one is, it has been there. This one has been arsenal refinished at some point (Parkerized). They were often refinished shortly after WW1, or shortly before WW2; probably the latter for this one. Cylinder hasn't been altered, bore is just shy of mint condition; really fantastic. Very little endshake to the cylinder, and timing is spot on. Haven't shot it yet, but I did manage to pick up two boxes of newly manufactured Fiocci .455 Mk II; so I'll be shooting it soon.

    Holster is WW2 of course.
