Marking 80 years since the largest single attack mounted by a foreign power on Australian soil, the bombing of Darwin Ceremony, 2022 features a reenactment of that day.

Thank you. I couldn't get into the main presentation this year so did this angle instead. I was disappointed though. The choppers came straight over the top but my phone didn't cooperate quick enough to start recording then it blurred up (over heated).

I saw some footage when the 3 Tigers flew low past the cenotaph taken from the tent…looked cool as…
I liked the newspaper clippings too…I would have tried to film from some of the locations depicted in the old photographs…then done a then and now kinda thing…Some of the old Post Office is still there for example…I always like to add the Peary in too…
So the Americans can see their sacrifice and bravery on the day also…Lately I see the day as being for both countries.

Thats a great idea to try and find the location in the photos. I'll get onto that one. I just watched a video which showed the Tigers flying past - I didn't realise it was that low from where I was. Here is my Peary video I didnt think the Post Office was around anymore. Isn't that where Parliament is?
