Bullets do not make right and left hand turns.
One bullet wounding Kennedy and Connelly seven times and then dropping out of Connelly in pristine condition?

And what was that about the nitrate test conducted on Oswald revealing that ha had NOT fired a rifle or any other firearm?

And how exactly did a defector get back into the United States when he had handed over his passport without any investigation by the State Department?

And with a Russian sweetheart in tow?

Who was paying Oswald? I believe his tax records are still classified. Correct me if I'm wrong there

    Ahh.

What was that about Oswald " teaching himself Russian?"

According to Garrison, Oswald received training in the Russian language whilst still a soldier.
It was this fact that alerted Garrison that Oswald was not just a regular Marine.

Mark Lane uncovered the same claim when he interviewed Oswald's mother. His book, "Rush To Judgement" is a very good look at the case from the point of view of an independent investigation

Even Oswald's mother claimed that Lee was "working for the government"

Also, Oswald's work in the photographic section of Atsugi Airbase in Japan demonstrates that his security clearance was out of the ordinary.

He got a darned good look at the results of U2 spyplane missions. You needed a fairly high security clearance to undertake such sensitive work at the height of the Cold War

And I was under the impression that Oliver Stone directed "JFK", not Kevin Costner...

Please correct me if I'm wrong

George Bouhe who introduced de Mohrenschildt to Oswald escaped the Soviet Union via Finland. Oswald slipped into the Soviet Union via Finland. Kai-Petri is from Finland and posted a bit, too much information on Oswald's movements. Could it be that Kai-Petri is a CIA plant that facilitated a portion of the plot?????

    And what are you suggesting?

That the CIA is a bunch of honest John's?

    Shameful from a patriot!

The bullet was not pristine and based upon the positioning of the vehicle occupants moved in a straight downward angle. No zigs, no zags.

Actually, the highest security clearance Oswald had was "Classified" which is the lowest security clearance, only no clearance ranks lower.

No, I'm not suggesting that. I know from personal experience how duplicitous and totally lacking in morals, honor and loyalty they are. However, that does not mean they are behind every event that occurs, nor would they be likely to use someone of Oswald's below average abilities to undertake such a high profile mission.

Connelly had his arm resting on the passenger door.

Kennedy was sitting roughly in the center of the rear seat.

They were NOT lined up. Look at the Zapruder film and see for yourself.

Mr Price, generally speaking I am not a conspiracy theorist.
But the Crime of the Century is still UNSOLVED. And the more you blame it on someone that was a poor shot, using the one of the world's worst hunting rifles, who had a zero deflection shot at Kennedy and did not take it, who had not even fired a rifle that day and did not murder a policeman....the more blame attached to Lee Harvey Oswald, the more ridiculous it sounds.

    Additionally....

If the Warren Commission was such a final word on the subject, why was the House Select Committee On Assassinations convened at all?

And why was their conclusion that Kennedy was killed "most likely by more than one gunman"?

And if it was a loner, why were so many witnesses disappearing under violent circumstances if the case was so open and shut?

The whole case reached the point where the only living eyewitness was a DEAF MUTE.

The performance of the Dallas police department was an absolute disgrace. Never mind the honest medicos at Parkland Memorial that had to fight a losing battle to keep Kennedy's body in the state Hospital where the autopsy should have been performed?

And who cleaned the limousine before anyone had a chance to examine it?

So many aspects of November 22 1963 STINK

And by God, what if National Security Memo 263 had been implemented and the CIA farmed off to many other government departments in a million pieces?

I suppose Lyndon Johnson wasn't having any of that now was he?

    Mr Price....

When I first saw "JFK" at the cinema, I was visiting friends from South America... countries like Argentina, and Uruguay.

I told them about the film. That there was a distinct possibility that the CIA had murdered its own president.
    They were unimpressed.

"Chris...that sort of thing goes on in our country all the time!"

The Warren comission book has been condemned a fast made book of evidence and practically includes very little true knowledge.
Was Oswald a bad shot. How many times he fired? In a document shooting from the room one bullet must have even hit the lamp post due to slow car speed. One less bullet to kill.

National Security Action Memo 263 was implemented by Johnson as part of NSAM 273, signed 26 November 1963. In fact, all the recommendations from the McNamara/Maxwell Taylor visit to South Vietnam (23 September to 2 October) were implemented, with two minor changes, so it's not hard to imagine. The changes were necessitated by the 2 November coup d'etat and assassination of President Diem, and incorporated into a draft copy by McGeorge Bundy. Have you ever read NASM 263? Here it is in it's entirety.

NATIONAL SECURITY ACTION MEMORANDUM NO. 263

    TO: Secretary of State
    Secretary of Defense
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff

    SUBJECT: South Vietnam

At a meeting on October 5, 1963, the President considered the recommendations contained in the report of Secretary McNamara and General Taylor on their
    mission to South Vietnam.

The President approved the military recommendations contained in Section I B (1-3) of the report, but directed that no formal announcement be made of the implementation of plans to withdraw 1,000 U.S. military personnel by the end of 1963.

After discussion of the remaining recommendations of the report, the President approved an instruction to Ambassador Lodge which is set forth in State Department telegram No. 534 to Saigon.

    McGeorge Bundy

    Copy furnished:
    Director of Central Intelligence
    Administrator, Agency for International Development

Btw, the 1,000 troops were withdrawn.

I also try not to use films as historical references, no matter how well done. Even the best varies somewhat from the facts. I saw and enjoyed Oliver Stone's JFK. I also had read enough on the assassination to understand it was fantasy not fact.
It should also be noted that Clay Shaw, the man Jim Garrison (Kevin Costner in the movie) had indicted was acquitted by a jury after less than one hour of deliberation. Some of the witnesses (Jack Martin) during Garrisons investigation claimed that David Ferrie had "hypnotized" Lee Harvey Oswald into assassinating Kennedy. It was then postulated, by Garrison, that the assassination was a "homosexual thrill killing". Then it became the "CIA" done it. The FBI did question Martin and Ferrie twice based upon Garrisons assertions, but decided there was nothing there. That's also the conclusion the jury reached.

And if that bullet wasn't "pristine", it certainly looked nothing like a round that has been responsible for seven wounds.

Nothing about this case seems to add up except a general willing suspension of disbelief. Papering over the yawning cracks simply for the sake of keeping the governments hands clean.

Hardly the sort of attitude that the Founding Father's mig

But of course, the very word conspiracy seems to send a lot of you into a spin.

You cherry pick and do not confront all the inconsistencies.

For instance, Tippet being shot with an automatic pistol, while Oswald only carried a REVOLVER.

    Oswald's negative nitrate test.

Oswald entering the Texas Theatre at the same time that Tippet was shot, 1:07 pm.

The very impossibility of a single bullet doing all that damage and being in the condition it was.

Kennedy was NOT "directly behind" Governer Connelly.

I didn't just watch Stone's film. I read the book it was mainly based on called "On The Trail of The Assassin's" by district attorney of New Orleans, Jim Garrison.

The other book it was based on was called "Crossfire".
I've read Mark Lane's "Rush To Judgement". Or that silly book by Bonar Meninger that postulated that Kennedy was accidentally shot by an AR15 by the secret service bodyguard.

I don't just watch films. There is also a book called "The Mafia Killed President Kennedy", which had some revealing stuff, but I don't think it was on the right track.

I used to be a subscriber to " JFK Lancer", but I have better things to spend money on at this stage

Some of you guys should have sat on the Warren Commission. You would have had the same attitude as they did, which was a preconceived verdict that you would selectively pick evidence to substantiate and simply ignore anything else that bespoke something different

Let me also state that I am a pro- American in my political and military views.

I don't hate America or Americans as many seem to.

But trusting governments of any political persuasion is not something I aspire to do either. I believe America was founded on the principle of questioning the status quo and actively seeking CHANGE.

    As Frederick Douglas said..

Actually, I initially leaned towards it being a conspiracy. Then I started reading more balanced analyses. Now I lean (strongly) towards the lone gunman theory. One of the biggest problems I have with the "conspiracy" side is how they attempt to shoehorn facts into fitting their hypotheses', and actually make stuff up. Like spinning Oswalds sub-par military service, from which he eventually received a hardship discharge from, to imaginary security clearance types.
I'm not interested in debating the assassination point by point, there are many good books out there that do it better than I could. I have already provided you with information in several points that proves your assertions on those particular matters are incorrect. Here's on last one, based upon the most modern forensics:

    Single bullet:

It's kind of like Custer and the Little Bighorn, there has to be more to it than Custer made mistakes, the Indians decided to stay and fight and there were more indians than Custer anticipated. The indians did something nefarious, he was betrayed by his subordinates, his superiors used him as bait, etc. He was an American icon at the time surely there was more to it than he fought a bad fight. Nope, the truth is the Indians were better and more numerous that day and the end result was the most likely outcome of the actions by the participants.

Why not mix this with Reagan and John Lennon shootings, and instead of Mafia the FBI boss Hoover? I think Hoover was not a fan.. just some remarks to the discussion. Or make a mess of it all.

The lone gunman theory is so full of holes.

And with all the incompetent police work, it's arguable whether any trial would have gotten past a pre trial hearing.

Oswald's rights were infringed on too many seperate occasions, and evidence tampering would have been exposed. This is one of the reasons that Lee had to be eliminated before he was put before a court of any kind. It enabled the book to be closed on assumptions that were never put before a courtroom or any form of legal analysis.

The government case was guilty of shoehorned facts as well. Its very sickening to hear of the guilt of any individual that has not been put through the trial process.

Lane's book wasn't called "Rush To Judgement" for nothing

And comparing this case to Little Big Horn is really not saying anything appropriate to the situation.

Custer was a fool to attack an entire village with the resources he had. No argument there. But there really is nothing about it that can make it a point of comparison.

At the end of the day, in the Kennedy case, the book was closed rather hastily before a proper investigation was allowed, and assumptions that were never put before a courtroom were left to stand as the accused man was no longer around to tell his side of the story.

Too many factors outside of Oswald's control were involved, like changing the parade route, or Kennedy's insistance on removing the protective bubble on the limousine. Any secret service agent in this day and age would have objected on the spot, and possibly cancelled the parade on that basis.t

When Barack Obama came to Darwin, we weren't even allowed to get a public glimpse of him. He was there to speak to servicemen and women, and the public didn't even get a chance at a distant glimpse
