The links are legitimate, would have been nice to have included descriptions though.

I changed the way users are approved several months ago, since a daily deluge of spammers were getting past the filters in place before. The moderators were spending way too much time each day cleaning up the spammer's bullshit.

Potential users now have to request to join and then be eyeballed by admins before they are accepted as members.

I ban about 30-40% before they ever make it to the forum, with most of these coming from suspect countries. A few others are flagged as known spammer addresses by the application. I also look at other criteria.

Sorry guys, I apologize for posting links and NOT explaining. The links are for information I’ve built or found over time (years) and posted on Wartimes.ca and sometimes ww2talk.com. I try NOT try repeat the same post on various websites I work on, so I tend to post LINKS, but I should have taken the time to explain “who I was and what these were about”……….didn’t even think I would be considered a “spammer”

So, when posting links in the future, I’ll make sure I explain……before I get myself BANNED from this site

I am one of the moderators at Wartimes.ca and have been on ww2talk for some years and I used to be a moderator on Canada at War (until the site went down without knowing why) ……..I look forward to helping here (when I can)

    Cheers

    Barry (aka Temujin)
