I keep perspective by looking at the news from 100, 200, 300 years ago for that date. SSDD

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Yep, my point. Doom mavins see today's issues as unique. As long as humans are involved it will be SSDD.

Totally agree Biak. A lot can be said for a good day of shooting followed by a zen gun disassembly & cleaning session. Fortunately the ammo shortage has abated, with bulk 9mm parabellum at reasonable prices again.

It's running about double what I paid couple years ago. And still hit or miss :)D) if there's any on the shelf. But it is better. Last Fall virtually the only thing available was shotgun shells and a few boxes of .223.

"Armed Overwatch answers a critical need for U.S. Special Operations Command to conduct a wide range of operations globally in support of the National Defense Strategy,” SOCOM Commander Gen. Richard D. Clarke said in a statement. “This rugged, sustainable platform will operate in permissive environments and austere conditions around the world to safeguard our Special Operations Forces on the ground.”

L3 Harris unveiled Sky Warden in May 2021 as part of a collaboration with aircraft manufacturer Air Tractor. The companies claimed that the aircraft, based on Air Tractor’s agricultural AT-802 airframe, features the largest payload capacity of any single-engine turboprop aircraft. The aircraft has previously also been modified for firefighting missions.

I'm actually thinking about trying to do that. View from the dining room table. Of course my trying will look more like a cross between Picasso and Monet. With some kindergarten thrown in.

Beautiful, cool morning, not a cloud in the sky. Sitting by the pewl, drinking some coffee, with a dog at my feet, listening to some Alice in Chains. Getting ready to throw a corned beef in the smoker. Fug' the world and all its drama, life is good!
