Yes. But mainly in the same areas they can mitigate with a satellite. When you know a satellite is going to be overhead at a certain time(s) each day you make sure nothing of interest is out or in the area at that time. We don't know the totality of what types and capabilities of sensors were onboard. They will quite likely locate much of the debris and will probably be able to reconstruct what was there. As an intel guy I talked to today about it said, "I'm sure the water where they down it will be crawling with Zodiacs and rhib's and they'll have divers everywhere."
I heard an Air Force officer on a podcast remark that they (the Chinese) like to gather everything they can and then sift it to see if anything of use pops up. The DoD has a bunch of these balloons deployed over the US gathering information on us and have since 2019 when they got a federal court to sign off on the plan. The initial batch was 25 and they've kept a number up continually since then. They can gather a wide range of photographic, x-ray and electromagnetic data.
China is pissed off that we shot it down anyway, even though they got their info. "China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement saying, “China will resolutely uphold the relevant company’s legitimate rights and interests, and at the same time reserving the right to take further actions in response,” per AP News.

My reply to the intel guy I was talking to today, "Joe Biden wanted to shoot it down but he called Hunter and said, "Hunter we've gotta give back some of that Chinese money. I'm going to have to shoot down that Chinese satellite now that somebody has noticed it. Hunter, "can't do it dad, I've already blown mine on hookers and cocaine."

A group that could shape the future or a bit of a dud...Too early to tell. India and Japan are thinking of Joining...India can be a little unpredictable and sell serving (which it should be)...It has a complicated relationship with China...It has nuclear weapons. India has a whopping population...So:

A for AUKUS and A for Australia - As usual Australia has been made the head of the spear...Which is where i think the US and UK want us... It is what it is...

Australia has always needed a Defence boost anyway, this is perhaps the only thing that gets dollars out of Australian politician's pockets. Australia, the US and UK are considering creating a whole new submarine for all three of us to use...I hope so. Technology races so fast these days that new platforms are a good idea (rather than just trying to upgrade old platforms.
