I thought y’all might enjoy some of these. The gentleman these belonged to served in ww2 & ww2. He moved back to Birmingham Al and ran a couple small businesses. One of his best friends inherited a lot of his belongings and she’s slowly been giving it to me bc she knows my love for history and war type stuff. It’s just documents you don’t come across everyday or I haven’t at least. This is about 10% of it. I apologize for any pictures being cut off, I had to resize all them to upload..
What an amazing trove of documents! Not a bad opening post. Welcome to the site! I particularly like the list of officers and their assigned addresses. Those would be extremely useful for others who might be researching those names. Thanks for sharing...more please!
I would upload all of them but I’m having to take a picture then individually resize each one to upload, takes too much time. If there’s quick way to do of my iPhone I will.
Let's determine the scope here, how many docs do you have total Bamacruiser? A rough number will help.
I think I’ve figured it out. I’m going to scan them onto my computer and attempt to compress everything down so I can upload it. Ballpark I’d say it’s 40-50 docs
Off subject completely but I thought y’all might enjoy this too. This came with the ww2 docs, or was in the same big box. The fella this stuff belonged to is related to the Andress man in the photo. If you’ve never heard of the Quitmans guard look it up, very interesting
I’m currently scanning everything so if any of you would like me to send you everything just send me a direct message on here or email me at EMAIL_REMOVED@gmail.com
Hey Bama, I'll shot you and email directly. I'm happy to post the info for you. Also, sorry for the edit, but I removed your email from public display. Having it posted publicly will get you added to all sorts of noisy spammer lists. If anyone wants to exchange emails with you, they can of course message you here and you can then exchange emails by private direct message.
