Pink Panther from the gold heist/bank robbery movie, Kelly's Heros.

(Remember, all German AFVs were called Tigers by the GIs).

Cool indeed! I had seen the upper part before - in the movie We Dive at Dawn for one - but hadn’t known about the structure below, although I guess there would have to be.

Good question. Odd that early on the Germans seem to have made more provision for air-sea rescue than naval power Britain.

Just like the faux Tiger in Bandaid Bros. The Rooskie flick White Tiger had a disguised IS-II playing the Tiger and the only historical documentary with a real Tiger was Furry.

I liked the White Tiger, best of the bad lot. I spent an hour nit-picking it one day just for fun.

Nothing like a good two thousand yard stare. Had to watch those boys carefully. They'd walk off the end of the boats or stare gun a gun barrel in a very unnerving way. Had my had burned one when a went off in my grip. Very careful to let the next leg of caregivers know to keep an eagle eye on those guys. Didn't lose any on my watch.

They sacrifice too much - And get little in return.
One of those problems that stare everyone in the face and most pretend its not there...There needs to be some genuine return for these guys...Tax breaks - Interest free home loans - Free education etc etc something meaningful but won't break anyone's bank.

I got fourteen years at Purdue, on the VA nickel. Indiana State Voc Rehab pitched in for the first six years. At the end of ~5110 days of "ivy covered halls" I had almost balanced out 912 days in the shit. My wife says I still cuss in Vietnamese when I'm dreaming. I offered to not translate some of those words. She was grateful.

Let's run out of fuel in a combat zone and coast back home. Or most of the way back home.

I've been lead bullet sponge on a PBR, but I'd really not like having to go up in one of those planes.

Old days the women wore skirts/layers, the men wore linen suits…white reflects the sun better than any other colour…
