Piskariyovskoye Cemetery

The main channel up the center of the cemetery. I have been to war cemeteries before but this was something different. 470,000 civilians, around 100,000 soldiers, all buried together in 186 mass graves, all unnamed. During the siege workers dug a grave, gathered the dead from all over the city and put them in the hole. When the hole was full, they dug a new one. There isn't much more one can say.
