Hi Looking for some tips from any 28mm WW11 experts. I have loads of 'Black tree' Russian infantry, my opponent (enemy) has a Stug 42 and a Halftrack with Flametrower plus some infantry guns......to blow my poor commrades to bits. Any advise on how to even the odds, I was thinking a SU 152 + a T34. But does anyone know who does these or something similar to match black tree figs. (Westwind is a bit small in scale) Thanks in advance
I agree, a SU-152 surely is badass writ large! You're talking about one? I once deployed an entire regiment of 20 on table, but that was a special game. and in 1:300 too! But it might be overkill, why don't you scale down a bit and instead get a SU-85 to drill holes on the opposition, instead of mangling them by Brute Force? I can't give you any sources, though, as my toys are 1:300, but a good cause is a good cause
Thanks Za Rodina But rumor has it that a 'tiger 1' may also be in the area, I don't think a SU-85 would be able for that, would it?
Depends. On 28mm you are realling working at less than pissing range so a 85 should do execution. But I see your buddy is upping the ante so you have an arms race in your hands. Just let him pass through and any AT Rifle will hurt him where the sun don't shine
How apt... Comrade Maverik getting advice from Stalin himself! No fear... IF its an arms race then your buggered... I know a man with Tiger IIs... in 28mm...
At this rate I may have to take to the air with some soviet Tank Busters: IL 2 Strumovik, I'll have to get a squadron!
No need to. If needed I'll scratch build one of this for you on purpose http://bbs.defence.co.kr/html/bbs/data/landarms1/b_119_1.jpg (this doesn't work too well, copy the link and paste it on a new window to look at the image. Damned Koreans !)
Hahahahahah... Im getting two of these... http://www.corgi.co.uk/CorgiSite/DDayMilitary/US60005.htm Gonna turn the Red Army to mincemeat...
