    I give up too Andy.

All I know is what i'm told by the vet. If the vet tells me he did this or was serving in a certain unit or did a certain deed--who the heck am I to NOT believe what he tells me?

I wasn't there--so i'm not going to dispute what I am told--UNLESS--something else comes to light that totally makes what he told me--VERY unbelievable.

    Cheers Andy. [IMG]

I agree that the waffen wernt a part of the Wehrmacht, its pure fact the way i have always seen it.
I think someones already mentioned this but i suppose you can ook it like this..

If your taking Wehrmacht for its literal translation 'Armed Forces' then yes the wss were armed and they were a force so in that regard there Wehrmacht.
But if you talking about the Wehrmacht as the administrative body of all 3 of the Germany armys ie..the okw, the wss were a completely separate entity...though as has been repeated many times already here they were sometimes used in operations.
