The 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. 475 Horsepower supercharged V8, the most powerful (factory-built, not custom) mustang in History. Mid-$40,000 price range. LOVE the new "reborn" mustangs, and this one just continues that trend- and really does superb justice to the Shelby name. Can that guy design a bad car?!? Apparently not! Anyone can feel absolutely free to buy me one of these beasts as a present.
Just wait til they come out with the Rousch editions. Price tage may be 6 figures more, but my god what a beautiful machine.
Interesting side note. These beauties are pushing Chrysler and GM to come out with the Challenger and new Camaro respectively. Who can afford the gas in these things? Later
Yup- saw a feature in the NYtimes online with full coverage pf the recent detroit auto show, including the new Challenger and Camaro. New camaro- bleh, I never really liked the old camaros, and the new one continues that trend (for me, anyway). New Challenger- WOW. Now THAT looks like something I'd put in the same class as the new Mustangs. And on a related note- the new Ferrari FXX- damn, is ferrari ever going to make another car that looks nice?? The new FXX- Sure, I'm sure that thing will burn up the tracks... but... ewwww. Heh- why do I have a feeling some of the resident F1 fans are going to come charging at me now? Don't hurt me, Kai! [edits] OK, well, time to eat my words a bit- following my early afternoon WW2 forums visit, I decided to check one of my other favorite sites, fark.com. And I found- "Scoop First look at Ferrari's successor to the 575 M - the 620 horsepower 599 GTB" OK, that looks nice! And it has (of course) the performance of a Ferrari. But- if we're talking supercars- Bugatti Veyron 16.4 16 cylinders, 4 turbo's, 980ish hp Now if you'all will excuse me while I wipe the drool off the keyboard... [ 14.
