In Holland the enemy had sown 250,000 mines, many of them anti-personal Schu and S mines .These mines took a terrible toll, some of the Sappers used mine dogs to locate the mines and some of them swore by the dogs and lifted many mines. ME? I was not going to trust a scruffy canine with my feet, my legs, or most importanat of all....my abilty to father children in the future.

I had the impression that "S" and "Schu" mines were the same. Can someone please point me to a good link which describes in general the types and characteristics of German mines?
