    Seriously, there's got to be a canadian flag on the message icon choices before you post a message. I mean you got the japan, usa and other mini flags but no canadian? c'mon. we canadians got involved too.

    Maybe (if possible) users can be able to select their own background colors. I would like to have some tones of olive green. That HUGE upgrade Otto mentioned might include this. :confused:

    I hear you downfall1983 & Za Rodinu, the current flag icons were put there to represent the big three of each side. If I were to add everyone involved, I'd have to put in dozens and it would get cluttered. When the Forums is upgraded in 2007, we will have all nations represented via WWII flag smilies. These will be the WWII versions as well, incuding the older Canadian flag and the US flag with the 48 even spaced stars, etc.

    There might be some slight changes downfall1983 & kerem, but the Forums will need to stay a lighter color. All the graphics are made for a near-white background, and changing that would by a monumental task.

    Threads that have been moved don't link back to the original creator's profile. Otherwise it may have been deleted for any number of good reasons. By and large I can't see why they would be gone, as the policy here is to never delete threads.

    And lastly, if you want to ask a question or give feedback about a new topic, feel free to start a new thread, it makes things easier for people who come along and might have the same question you did.

    I have a few comments;

    This site seems to be staying online with Otto's and moderators self sacrifice. No advertisements, no pop ups or any other annoying things. Thanks for the great work. Design of the forums work well indeed. Easy to use and also tidy.

    Btw, I've been browsing the member directory and realised that there is only one Japanese member and five Italian members. Why ex-axis countries citizens are so lukewarm?

    Probably because they dont speak English? The majority of the members here are from the US or the UK (or Canada). You'd find very few people outside of Englinsh-speaking countries on these forums as English isnt their first languages.

    I also think that there are not so many die-hard WW2 history fans out there, really. Many know some basic things about WW2 but once we enter the core of things ( if I may call it that way ) it requires reading of tens/hundreds of books on the topic. And that is not easy, because it takes time. For instance I read at least one or two books every week. And new books just keep pouring in...

    But anyway, that´s why it´s great to be here among the same kind of WW2 enthusiasts as "it feels like home"...

    :D :D

    That's a fair comment : in the past we have had one or two members from Germany whose contributions were valued ; sadly - as happens with internet forums - they have drifted away over time. :(

    Well Thanks Musso, but nothing is done yet, congratulate me when I've got something to show you. speaking of which you need to send me images for your custom OKF avatar, unless of course you like any of the ones in the current Avatar Depot, in that case I'll resize that one. Time to spark up and get to work... [IMG]

    I suppose a supped-up avatar might me a good idea. I'm not very graphic-savy so wouldnt be able to make a decent - or befitting of Mussolini - one.
