Just wondering, what do you think if Hitler´s original idea had succeeded, i.e. the USSR had lost the war. Would the British surrender now as he had "promised"?

Personally I don´t think so, as long as there was a chance the US would enter the war.

I really think the British would not succumb to Herr Hitler's wrath even if U.S.S.R was defeated. I think the Tommys were strong-headed and a resilient people, (No offence intended.) and I think they would have gone on and held out against Germany.

Eventually though if the U.S. and Canada didn't come along to help give a helping hand and Germany bombed England with hundreds of V2 rockets then they might surrender.

"If" the Soviet Union had surrendered in the 6 weeks as planned,I believe Hitler would have a tremendous chip on his shoulder. And would try an invasion.
I do believe he'd have them sue for peace, though.

I don't think that Britain would have surrendered. I imagine that the US would have been dragged into the war and seen the end of Germany.

There is no chance of this once the US was in the war. Even if the Soviets surrendered the US would have finished Germany, most likely by nuking several major cities. Aside from that the US had the potential to build an army that rivaled the Soviets in size with far better equipment. For example, the equipment that went to the Soviets and French under lend-lease would have provided the US Army at least fifteen divisions, including at least three armored, alone.
Once Japan falls the US also has a huge new resource they didn't previously have; their forces in the Pacific.
Basically, by the beginning of 1942 given the historical events except the possibility that the Soviet Union fell, the Germans are doomed.
