CARL: "GREETINGS & SALUTATIONS!" Yes, have a lot of stuff to show, hopefully I can acquire more space to show it, not sure how much space we are given each day? I wrote a post about a series of books which have titles like: "He's in the Navy Now," "He's in the Coast Guard Now," etc. About 13 of them published between 1941 and 1944, over 3,500 pages I scanned to CDs. I spend a lot of time scanning eBay items like ink blotters, booklets, etc., that show uniforms and insignia too as well as many photographs and pictures of other people collections, stuff I could hope to see in a museum, maybe? I have many photo albums at Webshots.com of over 6,000 pictures your's for the asking, you can download them and use there wnerever and whenever you wish to do so. Unlike some, I covet nothing and share my pics. If you can sell them or trade them, so much the better! There are many people with the same name I have and many more who have bought the farm who shared the same first and last name, so its no big deal if my name is attached or not? I am but a caretaker for the stuff I acquire, when I am gone, someone else will pick up the duties of caretaker. I chose to go into teaching to share my knowledge, whatever it may be? In World War Two many servicemen and service women gave me insignia and I was hooked very early in life! My sister's father married my widowed mother and he was a China Sailor who served aboard submarines in the 1920s to the 1940s and I went to mililtary and Catholic school, the same thing, both wore uniforms and had severe discipline! I lied and told the army recruiter I was older than 16 and served in Korea and enjoyed the hell out of c-rations and getting to shoot the M-1 Garand Rifle, the 1919A1 air-cooled machinegun and loads of other neat weapons and tosing hand grenades. Needless to sauy, I also collected TATTOOS, an old U.S. Navy tradition, I guess? I made Sergeant E-5 after a very long time and preferred "SARGE" as a nickname over variants of Herbert! Was a warrant officer a long time too and now belong to the American Volunteer Reserve and photograph for them, they perform final honours for veterans and we do not train with weapons, okay by me, cleaning weapons was not the fun part like shooting them, needless to say! One day they made me a Major, not sure how I should act as an officer? Its all unpaid and we also provide emergency services should the need arise. Too old for the State Defense Force, did enjoy the Army National Guard and the State Guard too! I like to trade CDs and if nothing to trade, I often give them away a few at a time. I'm not interested in making money, leave that to eBay sellers who need it for whatever? Anyway, would like to hear from you good folks! Sarge Booker of Tujunga, California (hhbooker2@yahoo.com) POST SCRIPT: I ain't worried about SPAM or strange letters, they are often interesting reading).:D See my websites: The Booker Collection of military hat & collar badges or eneryhodge's photos and albums on webshots or websots.com or /user/clovis_the_Cat or /user/hhbooker Sarge:rolleyes:

"Greetings & Salutations!" I hope that some here will email me at hhbooker2@yahoo.com so I can send them free daily scans of the many books I've scanned. eBay Auctions offers the same ones I gave them several years ago, but I do not charge! They are not copy-right and are public domain and since the past couple of years, I've scanned more than one hundred new booklets, books, catalogues, etc.

Wishing all safe and happy holidays, Sarge of Tujunga, California

POST SCRIPT: Really, people visit my site? Thank you, seldom do I know as I don't get a lot of email. I also maintain photo albums at www.webshots.com ( eneryhodge's photos and albums on webshots and hhbooker2's photos and albums on webshots (Enery is my wife, she was a Hodge when we met, can not say she improved her life with the name Booker though? We have two cats, Clovis Lee Booker and Figaro Lee Booker, as you can see, they are family. Dogs are family too! :)

"Greetings & Salutations!" I really like these forums as they provide me a chance to show some of the rarer ephemera I've collected over the past quarter-century, I am 66 years old and spend loads of time scanning and of course I email out free scans daily to whomever wants them. You'd be surprised the great pictures you can sometimes get from eBay sellers and from forums and from great old books, so many places. I make CDs just in case the personal computer crashes, "planned obsolete" on the part of the manufacturer? I have extended family, two cats rescued from shelters, would have a dog if my legs worked well enough to walk more than two blocks, old age catches up really quick with some of us! I'd really like to expand my collection of pictures of our allies in Central and South America. Anyway, thank you for the warm welcome, family is welcomed! :) Sarge of Tujunga, California

Greetings & Saultations! In 1977 I worked for Anstec Dunker, owned by Albert Novinger Schultz of Charlotte, North Carolina where he made uniforms of the American Revoultion and the War Between the States. I sewed leather pistol belts with cartridge holders as well as holsters, etc. Gave away my U.S. Cavalry shell jacket and my 1888 U.S. Cavalry dress coat and helmet with a yellow plume as I out-grew them. Al got a lot of embroidered Confederate and Union Army and Navy rank insignia from Sialkot and Karachi in Pakistan. The bug spray they used smelled almost as bad as flormaldahyde, believe it or not? You smelled it the minute you opened the package and had to open the windows and doors to air it out! Wishing you happy collecting over the holidays and may your gifts contain all sorts of insignia! :) Sarge of Tujunga, California

Greetings & Salutations! Good to hear from you Chad. Actually I never made a list of books as I have so many of them, but they include most of the rarer and hard-to-find booklets, books, catalogues, etc., 1881 to 1967. I'll post pictures of the covers here to give some idea of what I have scanned!

Happy Holidays, may you find some great deals on insignia! Sarge of Tujunga, California :)
