Easy fix, would shafts extending from one side of the gears. Of course then the thrust would be asymmetrical. Unless we put a pair of identical twins in the cranks.
Hmm, that is a very odd tank, it has no mg in the hull as usual. This is what happens if you mix a Panzer III/IV and a Panzer II.
IMO it's some sort of Panzerbefehlswagen III, the command tank version of the Pz III but it's a bit short of antennas and most pics I've seen show tbe dummy barrel not the MG at the center of the turrret. But there were a number of Panzerbefehlswagen subtypes based on different models of the Pz III.
Clue: I was rather sad when somebody put it onto their thoughtless history project and said it's a british tank :<
You guys are correct in assuming that it bases itself off of a Pz III tank, but it is not the Panzerbefehlswagen III.
It is Artillerie-Panzerbeobachtungswagen Pz III, or, more easily - artillery observation vehicle based on obsolete Pz III chassis.
I am not sure if it is a Renault UE chenillette (but then this wasn't a prototype) or rather a Lorraine (chenillette d'infanterie) tractor prototype.... The tracks look big for a Lorraine though
Correct vehicle is Automitrailleuse de Découverte LATIL AMD, from 1935. Automitrailleuse de decouverte LATIL type AMD. It was prototype, and it lost against AMD PANHARD 178. Latil was more famous for artillery tractors. Drogon, since you were closest to answer (and only one to try), please ask next question.
Wow, thanks, never heard of this prototype, would have more reliable info about it please? Hm, an easier one in my case.
