Well done - I first saw that about a week ago in Walter Speilberger's WWII Armor series books.

    You're up

Hmm, looks like a Type 89 conversion to an pioneer tank?

    Regards

Don't think so, the front looks too different from a type 89.
Could it the armore engineer vehicle SS type Bo?
Saw a photo of a similar vehicle some time ago

Good enough, I was looking for the name Soukou Sagyou SS-KI, but there were different types besides the KI. So you can have the next one drogon.

Thanks saw one bad quality photo a long time ago captured by the US troops.
Here is an unusual one easy for some of you I am sure.
And no this is not a wooden version of the Goliath...

I'm completely stumped. A hint might be good to keep this thread going.

    I agree !!
"The thing" looks like it's missing a lot of parts but the picure is too bad to be sure. And that very narrow track ..... more something I would expect on a German 1/2 track than on a tank.

I think Neigel got it. I think thats the Nagayama I-GO remote-controlled mini-tank (aka Japanese Goliath) ?

Having hunted around I think the official designation was Type 98 Ya-I-Go

Seeing as it seems Drogon isn't around at the moment I hope nobody objects to me trying to get the thread started again?
