Very good Chi-Ri! The model shown has the side panels (armor plate). Seems a poorly thought out design as the B2 and B3's could only achieve a full 360 turret rotation if they first lowered the side panels. Obviously, it's tough to present a challenge to such knowledgeable individuals, as are present on this forum......with perhaps the exception of specialized builds. Finding a unique photo/tank is often more difficult than identifying the actual vehicle. Over to you.
Nevertheless, you are right! Go on! BTW, a good set of Nahuel photos can be found here: http://www.aviarmor.net/tww2/tanks/argentina/nahuel_dl43.htm Regards,
Interesting photo! .....looks like vehicle is suspended above the ground. and it's definitely a challenge to me at least. When I first looked at it I thought it could be one of the Japanese TK's of which there were many variations......but the suspension looked like an early US design but I couldn't peg it. After more research: I can't be certain but it resembles the M-22 locust in some respects (fender guards and suspension and rounded front).....never seen one from that perspective before. I'll guess it's the M-22.
Yes its a locust in position below a C54 transport. The turret had to be removed and it was then mounted below the aircraft wing. I had got a more common pic just in case it proved troublesome.
Nice! You made me work for that one! here's a quick pic.......searched, but couldn't find it previous posts, so here goes. View attachment 14044
The 10.5cm K18 auf Panzer Selbstfahrlafette IVa 2 were produced in 1941, They were issued to the 521st Panzerjager Detachment for the proposed attack on Gibralter. Later they were shipped to Russia with the 3rd Panzer Division. One was destroyed and the other was sent back to Germany in 1941. I love that pic
Pretty obscure one but I may have it Marmon Herrington CTL3M, suspension test vehicle for the USMC (Or at least a CTL3 as their were three variants CTL3, CTL3A and CTL3M not including the turreted version CTL3TBD) Grrrr started off with Austrian and Hungarian vehicles then Japanese, saw a Japanese M3 Halftrack (Captured US vehicle) in a pic and noticed the tracks, drive and idler were the same so went to US light tanks.
Aaaarrrgh just know that vehicle a 38 rear drive, three return rollers and I think a 2cm gun, Just so annoying, I'll get you for this:headbash:
