I just posted a topic in Military Service Record & Genealogical Research forum looking for information about my great uncle. He flew in the 424 squadron. I am posting this here because I am also looking for any records of missions my uncle took part in, or any information about him. I am hoping that if I get information on the 424 I will be able to get info on my uncle. I don't know how many missions he flew before he was killed, I don't know what the circumstances of his death were, I don't know what type of missions he was involved in, or when he started flying missions. I don't really know how to obtain any information or what information I should be trying to obtain, so I figured I would just ask about the only things I know. I know he was in squadron 424 so that is where I am starting. Any information anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated not only by me but by the rest of my family. We are a very close family, and information on my great uncle will be very touching to his brothers and sisters, my great uncles and aunts.

Try posting your inquirey on Bombercrew.com forums. Lots of Canadians on it and a number of historians on the various squadrons related to RCAF.
