Day of Defeat

Anyone play Day of Defeat?

 

Great game

 

I play DOD Source. I prefer the original DOD but they are both great games.

 

I loved the original mod, but Source just never made the cut for me. DOD and Desert Combat are tied on my list for greatest mods ever.

Is anything better than the "thwap thwap" of a swinging spade?

 

I liked the first DOD and giving someone the butt of your Garand. If source was a graphic improved version of the first I would truly be happy.

i played it on steam once it was not bad

 

it was really fun, but source kinda ruined the gameplay.

Greatest mod ever, in my mind, would be Project Reality for BF2

 

The boring thing with source is that the battle dress of the germas is so clean and 1938 fresh parade looking, It just doesnt feel very realistic running around with an mp44 and clean polished boots and all new shining helmet. They could have thrown in some ancle boots, and splinter cammo uniforms for the right feel.

 

Love playing DOD. I play it almost every other day.
