You were right, Erich. I knew the U-boat'er at first glance. Karl-Heinz Marbach, KC 22 July 1944. Kdt. U 953 (and U 3014). Marbach is credited with 1 sinking for 1927 tons. Marbach served 7 patrols as commander of U 953 at a time when every second u-boat was being sunk. Having said that....I'm stumped on the skimmer
I. Marbach is still alive is he not ?? whose the S-boot chap celebrating the big tin plate around his neck.... ?
arg........... thanks I. say do you know the chap with the long knife ready to pounce on his kleine Kuchen ?
Well seems folks are a bit stumped the chap in the colour pic with the Eichenlaub to his Ritterkreuz, dark tunic looking right is Kommandant Rudolph Petersen who was in charge of the S-booten Flottilles though correctly termed this was not his proper nomenclature
Carl gotta go help the folks out front from their little accident /// who is the guy with the hair fuzz under his nose cutting the cake with the saber ?? I know you've got him figured....I'll be back in a few..crazy people on a slick icy road Torpedoes los !
Hi E, the guy w/ cake is one I can't think of his name. I'd have to cheat and look in my KM RKT book but that's been packed away for years now.
