    Operation Alpha-X-Ray, Zulu-Bravo, Uma Thurman?
I give up, and I think we all do.
Answer the question, and ask another....Please?
I think only you and Audie Murphy know this one.
I've checked ALL my books, and no go.

"Operation Mr. Black" was the answer. There were two coinciding("Operation Mr. Green" being the other operation)attacks made in the 3rd Division sector on the 23rd-26th of April 1944, to extend the beachehad out and to give the 3rd Division a place to observe their artillery fire.

    Regards,
    MARNE

Okay next question....Who was the first unit into Berchtesgaden, Germany and the "Eagles Nest" at the end of the war in Europe?

Two hints: (1) They were suppose to go to Salzburg, Austria however, they diverted to Berchtesgaden to take the "Eagle Nest" as the last great prize since it was in their sector. And (2) It wasn't Easy Co., 506th PIR 101st Airborne Division....

    Take your best shots....

    Regards,
    MARNE

Bit of a one track record isnt it.

While 3rd US Infantry Div captured Berchtesgaden, the French 2nd Armoured captured Obersalzberg. (Hitlers Eagles Nest)

We all know the Brits like a cup of Tea.

In fact, the British Empire would have collapsed if we couldnt stop for a cuppa!

During WW2, Britain kept a stockpile of Tea to ensure that this didnt happen (Should have been Germany's #1 target!)

How many tons (The Imperial type) of Tea made up the average size of this stockpile, give or take 10%?

How many bres would this have made? (Proper ones, not your decaf crap)

At the height of the war
Great Britain maintained stockpiles of about 150 million tons of the
stuff, enough to brew up about 6 trillion cups.

Actually a ridge-work with a series of hills which from a topographical map, take the shape of the creatures mentioned.

    Galloping Horse consists of hills 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, and 57.

Sea Horse consists of hills 43, and 44.

Gifu has only hill 27, and is in the shadow of Mt. Austen.

    Something easier.

What was the first enemy warship sunk by an American warship, after war was declared.
    Name them both.

As far as I know, that's correct! I meant to say U.S. submarine.
There may be a U-boat or a row-boat with a machine gun in there before that I don't know about.

    Your Ball.

    </font>[/QUOTE]You could probably add 230, 231, 271, 272, 273, 274, 276, 277, 280,307, 310, 311, 345, 358, 386 etc

Many of these were disbanded, but some saw service in Norway, just as out of the way as the Channel islands.
