See what I mean it's so artificial, they even have to pick a flag!

No official date for the Declaration of Independence , but this Sunday could be the day according to some media. Tajic said he would not allow this, Putin supports him.

Albanians from the diaspora are "returning" to Kosovo to celebrate this weekend . I'd call it invading an annexed territory. Who's next, norhthern Greece, Macedonia? Why would they stop anyway?

Poor Slonik, Kai took his shining star :D

Skipper, I hope they will stop, my country would be next anyways... The Macedonian government is under pressure by the Albanian bloc these days. They want to introduce Albanian as a second official language in Macedonia, and they hope to accomplish this prior to the NATO invitation to Macedonia in (hopefully) April.

It may sound strange, but I'm not totally against Kosovo's independence. Despite the common religion, close languages, and limited friendship between our countries, Serbia still doesn't recognize the Macedonian Orthodox Church, and does not allow Macedonian delegations to celebrate the birth of modern Macedonia (2 August 1944) in the monastery St. Prohor Pcinjski, which today is within the borders of Serbia. So, I can't say Serbia is my friend... It may seem chauvinistic, but I'd gladly watch one of my enemies getting weaker by the day.
On the other hand, the expansion of Albanian population and demands both in Kosovo and Macedonia is pretty much alarming if not less. I mentioned the "yet to be law" about the usage of Albanian as the second official language in Macedonia. As Skipper said, it is so artificial, that they even have to pick a flag. Of course, the flag of Albania would always be the symbol of every Albanian, may he live in Kosovo, or Macedonia, or Zimbabwe...

Ah, and yes, can the two threads be merged or something? :D

If the claims of the Albanians stop at reguesting the use of an official language that would be fine. But this is how things started in Kososvo a few decades ago when Pristina was still called Titograd and the Serbs were a large part of the population. Then they grow in numbers encouraged illegal immigration , introduced the Mafia , made the original serbian population a minority and ready to proclaim independence and get international support too. We's almost think they always been there and that the Orthodox churches are recent buildings to show Serb presence....
