Good day to all of you WW2 buffs out there. I´m from Guatemala, Central America, and since I was a young kid, I don´t know why, I´ve been just mad about all aspects of warfare, from history to technology, specially modern wars from the XIX century onwards. I hope I can learn a lot from you experts out there, because even though I guess I know a little (so people around say), I haven´t even scratched an inch below the surface on the matter, and I love to find out new stuff every day. Thanks for allowing me in.
G'day mate and welcome I also shared the same interests in ww2 since I was a tiny lad and somehow could never explain why. I have figured out that why bother with why I am interested? and instead go for how can I learn more?.
Hello Battleae or should I say "Warlord" ? With a user name Battleaxe can I ask if you've read this? Amazon.co.uk: Battleaxe Division (British Army at War): Ken Ford: Books
Sadly I haven´t, Wessex, or should I say 4th Wilts (I guess)? It´s rather difficult down here in the Land of Eternal Spring to get one´s paws on this kind of material. However, let me tell you that I´m surely glad to find some of the old chaps here. P.S. Never heard the name of this division before; I´m rather thin on MTO knowledge after El Alamein. When I thought of the term, I was thinking about the offensive in Cyrenaica.
Welcome, Battleaxe. I've always been interested in World War II since I was a kid, but in my case it had a lot to do with my Dad being a Veteran. Enjoy - there are a lot of knowledgeable members who are willing to share their knowledge.
