Welcome to the Forum, Melvin. I've also added your website to my WWII links folder - well done. I look forward to going back to read updates and look forward to posts you may add here. Are you also interested in those who lost their lives while participating in the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan? I live in one of the provinces which was extensively used during the training.
Hello Michelle, Glad you liked our website and I am very pleased that you will be returning! We have some new updates to add, it may interest you coming from Canada because it concerns the tragic loss of seven Canadian airmen killed in their Lanc on return from operations, especially as it happened about five weeks before the end of the war!. We are having some technical problems with the site at the moment, hopefully the problem will be sorted soon. Yes, we are interested in all losses including those who lost their lives during training. If you have anything you would like to add to our site we would be delighted, of course you will be credited. Thanks for your interest. Kind regards Melvin
Hi Melvin. If you need Help with both NJG2 Crashes info + translations, let me know (I speak German fluently) . I live close from Chateaudun and personnally know quite a few vets from this unit , I have investigated some of the crashsites (and still am) and have relics of a NJG2 JU88 G1 at home. I would be ready to share my info with you if you ready to do the same ( I'm interested in June and July 1944).
Hello Skipper, I am going to send you a private message straight away, I am more than willing to share information with you! Regards Melvin
Melvin : just so you are aware on Nov. 4. 1944 Burbridge claimed 3 LW night fighters that eve............got the report back but it is buried for now...more later, I have 3 grand-daughters crawling all over me it appears that BC NF's claimed much more LW a/c than were truly downed on the November date or simply mis-ID'd which is probable.
..very interesting site Melvin - did we already meet on TOCH (Offterdinger) ? btw I do the odd bit of translating myself ... cheers Neil
