This is my first post and I'm looking for info on my great-uncles that were in WWII. I've been told that both were in Normandy for the landings and died (presumably shot by Germans) in the middle of July. One was Ellsworth DeBruin and the other was John Semonicai. I don't have too many details so I'm asking all of you to share what you may know. Thanks in advance.
you might want to start your search here For Veterans and Next-of-Kin service number is helpful but I think they can help you without it if you have other info. Best of luck
Amazingly enough there is some helpful info here in this part of the forum Military Service Record & Genealogical Research - World War II Forums http://www.ww2f.com/military-servic...esting-copies-military-personnel-records.html
I think I may have started this thread in the wrong location. I noticed the other part of the forum after I posted-sorry. Thank you for the replies thus far. Moderator Edit---Thread moved. I hope this helps you find the information you are seeking.
